Custom Name Servers

I finally get off my duff and register them

By BBoyd • Apr 1st, 2008 • Category: Blog, Web Design & Development

I don’t know what took me so long to do this, but I finally got down to registering custom nameservers for my hosting services today.
No one should notice anything different, the switch went off seamlessly already. But if you’re a client, or a whois freak like me, you’ll see that my (and my clients’) old boring nameservers are now ns1.brandiboyd.com and ns2.brandiboyd.com.
Dunno what I’m talking about? Go to any whois lookup site, such as DNSTools.com and enter my domain name, BrandiBoyd.com. You’ll see the registrant info for my domain there, including my new custom nameservers. You can do the same for your own domain to see if the change took place for you (I’ve checked already).
Just a little professional touch that really is just to please my geeky side. It makes me almost as happy as new shoes.
